Kendra Dawn Wadsworth graduated with honors from Virginia
Commonwealth University in 1996, earning a BFA in Painting and
Printmaking. She went on to further her education at the University
of Pennsylvania where she received her MFA in Painting in 1998.

Wadsworth has been the recipient of a number of distinguished
awards. While in undergraduate studies Wadsworth was
recognized by the faculty of the department of Painting and
Printmaking with the “Outstanding Graduating Senior Award”. In
graduate school Wadsworth was also recognized as an
accomplished painter and received the Fergusan Painting Award
and the Lawrence SphrintzPainting Award. She has also been the
recipient of a Liquitex purchase award, paint exchange recipient,
and artist of the month. Most recently Wadsworth participated in
Peninsula Fine Art Center Biennial where her efforts were
extended to participate in an invitational exhibition, “Unbridled
Wreaths”. Currently her work is being displayed as an award
winning piece in “To Our Heirs Forever”, a show that coincides with
the Magna Carta at Virginia Beach Contemporary Center for the
Arts. Wadsworth’s paintings have been featured in solo and group
shows in Arizona, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and
Virginia.

Professionally Wadsworth has executed her knowledge and skills
as a Painting and Drawing Instructor. She has also taught Art
Appreciation at the collegiate level, has worked as a union scenic
artist local 829 for a number of theatrical and major motion
pictures, and is a certified Yoga instructor. Currently, Wadsworth
lives, paints, and teaches art and Yoga in Richmond, VA.

Live music at Nonesuch

Wednesday, April 18th, 8 pm. Nonesuch Gallery hosts an evening of sweet folk pleasure from
northern combo Brown Bird. Brown Bird is a quaint combo from Portland, Maine, offering the
sweetest in melancholy perfection. Accompanying Brown Bird are local roots music makers The
Graceland Grave Robbers, bringing sobering beauty and found booty. Feel free to check them out on

accordingly, before checking them out at the show. The event is free with the exception of the request
of mandatory donations for the travelers.

Thursday, April 19th, 9 PM. Nonesuch Gallery will offer a unique evening recognized as The Silent
Music Revival. What is silent music? Silent Music is an organization that takes a classic silent film and
provides a new soundtrack for it. On April 19th at Nonesuch gallery the classic film being played is
The Electric House, starring Buster Keaton. Nathan Joyce will provide the soundtrack on the turn
tables, being that Nathan has never seen, it should make for a very interesting view. The event is free
and all who are interested in the subjection of the pursuit of dreams are encouraged to attend. For

Saturday, April 21. 8 PM. Nonesuch offers another evening of thrilling moments for the movers and
the shakers. Anousheh, a local female favorite providing emotional flares in a rollercoaster like
fashion that explodes in a not to be missed live format (www.myspace.com/anoushehkhalili), The
Kamikaze Hearts, a folk combo from New York, who recognize themselves as, “a piece of cake in five
folks.” (www.myspace.com/kamikazehearts.) And, local hero, Nick Woods of the acclaimed
Cheapseats, who seals the deal with the most Sauvé in pretty folk, sounds (www.myspace.
com/confettietc). The event is $3, which goes to benefit the touring bands.
