to see Loofah start to
get some recognition
locally! I have been to
many of there shows
and they always
deliver a great
sounding, fun show. I
would dub them the
new local "Purveyors
of Pop".  It is nice to
hear fun, catchy songs,
amidst all the hardcore
and emo  wannabees
we have here in town:)

Personally, we believe
Ominotago is the #1
band. Not that
the other bands are
any less talented or
worthy of the title, but
Beau
and Chelsea truly have
not only an amazing
musical chemistry, but
they  really reach out
to and connect with
their fans on a daily
basis. They are the two
hardest working and
committed artists I
have ever seen, and
even go so far as to
write, produce, direct,
shoot and star in their
own  music videos and
send them out to their
fans. Truly amazing
people.

    #1                                Copper Sails
The very first list was hard to select because there are many
incredible bands in the Richmond area.  Taking the top of our
October list in the number one spot, is Copper Sails.   This
sensational group is a Rock / Indie / Alternative band.  Copper Sails
has an amazing lead singer, Boomer Muth, who has a great voice and
he stands out as one of the best male lead rock vocalists in the
Richmond area.   Kyle Crosby, Jon Crawley, and Jim Courtney all
bring a wonderful mix of  intense rock stylings, that not only showcase
their own talents but lend a wonderful canvas to mix in with the
vocals.  The band has many excellent songs, like "Silo" and "Orange
Peel".    You can check out this cutting edge band's latest songs and

    #2                               6 Foot Loofah
Taking the second place on the list is 6 Foot Loofah, a Pop /
Powerpop / 2-step band that has a fantastic style and a unique
sound all of their own.  Dave Lloyd is a guitar genius and truly
gives the guitar a voice that hits your ears just as brilliantly as
does lead singer Alycia Small's incredible vocals.  This
ensemble would not be complee with out the stylings of
bassist Shelby Murphy, and the coolest kat in town-drummer
Johnny "5" Hunter.  6 Foot Loofah has many great songs that
will have you craving for more! "Consume" and "Stealing
Time" can be heard by clicking on the links below.

    #4                              Maia Banks
Keeping it real in the number 4 spot, is Maia Banks.  Maia is a
Folk Rock / Indie / Maia Banksy ( yea- she is that unique )
musician,  who definitely stands out in this town as one of the
best of what Richmond has to offer from our talent pool.
Maia's lyrics are raw and real, she has a poetic arrangement of
kick ass music.  "Home" is just a superb song, with unique
vocals, an excellent musical mix of heart, soul, and mind-rock.
The lyrics grab a listener's attention and take you on a jounrey
with Maia's voice leading the way on the human condition.
Keep an eye open for her return to the stage and check out
Maia's stuff, but be warned, she says " I'm back to being a total
    bitch, run for your life."
